Job Summary:
Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to cardiac step-down patients, ensuring patient safety and administering treatments according to physician orders. This role requires flexibility to work night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals in accordance with established protocols.
• Evaluate patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly to the healthcare team.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain adherence to infection control and safety standards.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac step-down or IMC/PCU department.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to variable schedules.
• Possess effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation and unit-specific training.
