CT  Technologist
TACT Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team! As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for selecting proper technical factors on an individual basis and following CT dose optimization.. The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

• Consults with physician and/or reads physician's orders to determine proper testing procedures according to established protocol.
•  Assists the physician in preparing and administering contrast material using the power injector.
•  Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or CT procedures.
• Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Adheres to Infection Control Policies.
•  When necessary, must transport patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
•  Follows all established stroke protocols

Requirements:

• This position requires a minimum formal education of a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Job-Related minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.
•   Desired (not required) criteria include Completed formal training in AMA AMA-approved school. ARRT in Radiology required, with ARRT in CT desirable. Through knowledge of CT principles/procedures. One year of experience as a staff technologist; a comparable hospital setting preferred.
•   License, New York State License with IV certification
